My reasons for starting a blog

Having a creative outlet has always been an important part of my life. I’ve tried several different artistic avenues, from painting to pottery, to unleash and process all of my thoughts. As I approach my thirties, my goal is to develop my ability to reflect on my life through writing. In the summer of 2016, I went through several big changes that were both wonderful and intimidating all at the same time:

  • I got married!
  • I moved in with my hubby
  • I moved to a new city
  • I started a small Etsy Shop
  • I got a puppy!
  • I started my masters program in Occupational Therapy

Looking back almost two years later, I realized that I learned a lot about myself, about adapting to big changes, and about life in general.Ā  As my adventure in London, Ontario is coming to an end with just under six weeks of classes to go, my husband and I are approaching another exciting set of big changes:

  • Moving back to Ottawa
  • Getting new jobs (my first as an OT hopefully!)
  • Buying a house
  • Starting a family!

I want to use this blog as a way to record these upcoming adventures, as well as to summarize what I’ve learned in the past. My husband and I have dreams of living a humble life in the outskirts of the city, with a big big family and a bigger backyard. This blog will allow us to look back on how we achieved our goals, God willing. Hopefully others who have/are experiencing similar changes can benefit from reading my blog!

Let me know what some of the biggest changes and/or challenges you went through in your 20s and 30s were!
